Clark Hill Attorney Joseph Kopietz to present at Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants Mega Conference May 16

Clark Hill PLC Attorney Joseph Kopietz will present at the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) CPE Mega Conference on May 16, 2013 a continuing education session entitled “Form 990: Best Practices”. Mr. Kopietz will identify the most common mistakes made on the form, discuss how to help the Board of Directors and other key users understand the information, and go over all of the recent updates made to Form 990.
Joseph Kopietz is a member in Clark Hill’s Real Estate Group. His practice focuses in the area of economic development representing lenders, investors, nonprofit and for profit developers, municipalities, syndicators, underwriters and governmental authorities. In addition to his work in real estate, Kopietz has extensive experience with tax credits and incentives, including low-income housing, renewable energy, and historic and new markets tax credits. He regularly advises clients on Federal, State and local tax issues. Kopietz is one of few attorneys nationwide to be certified as a LEED Accredited Professional as a result of his thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, and his demonstrated knowledge of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating SystemTM. Kopietz is based in Clark Hill’s Detroit office.
