Urban will provide an informational seminar to school stakeholders that addresses the changing educational landscape in Detroit. Topics will include a discussion of charter accountability through the “A-F Grading System” recently codified; the strengthened role of the State School Reform Officer in monitoring priority schools, the Third Grade Reading Retention legislation and the impact of the statutorily-mandated accreditation system for authorizers with schools in Detroit.
