Clark Hill Attorney John P. Schneider was elected to the Board of Directors of the Michigan Nonprofit Association.
John P. Schneider
focuses his practice on business planning and employee benefit plans for many of the area’s privately held companies and public sector employers. In addition, he specializes in the creation, tax qualification, and ongoing operation of not-for-profit entities and has been involved extensively with many of the region’s charitable organizations. He often advises such entities concerning the various retirement plans specific to them.
Mr. Schneider received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Admitted to the bar in 1974, he is a member of the Business Law and International Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
Mr. Schneider is actively involved in the community. He is a director of the Visiting Nurse Foundation, and past chairperson of the board of directors of the Visiting Nurse Association of Western Michigan, and is a member of the boards of directors of the Kentwood Foundation, Life Guidance Services, and Proaction Behavioral Health Alliance. Additionally, John is a past chairperson of the board of directors of the Grand Rapids Symphony Society. He has served as president of the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan, has been a director of the Heart of West Michigan United Way, as well as the American Cancer Society- Kent County Unit, and the Harvard Alumni Association.
