Clark Hill Attorney Frederick W. Hoffman Elected Vice Chairman of Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority

DETROIT, MI – Clark Hill attorney Frederick W. Hoffman has been elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority.

The DWCPA exists to serve the maritime industry and those industries served by the maritime industry by assisting industrial development through the financing of new projects through ourselves or through collaboration with other economic development agencies. Additionally, the Port Authority is committed to ensuring the optimal use of Detroit and Wayne County’s waterfront for the needs of both industry and residents.

Hoffman serves as Of Counsel to the firm’s Government and Public Affairs Group. Prior to joining Clark Hill, he served as Chrysler’s director of State Relations, responsible for legislation, regulations and economic development throughout the U.S. Hoffman is an experienced attorney, having held various Michigan public positions, including former Governor Jennifer Granholm’s advisor on auto restructuring and economic development, director of the Auto & Steel Division of the state’s Commerce Department under former Governor James Blanchard, and a deputy mayor for Dearborn under former Mayor John O’Reilly, father of the current mayor.
