Clark Hill Attorney Denise Ilitch Receives the Michigan Women’s Foundation 2011 Women of Achievement & Courage Award
DETROIT, M
I
– Clark Hill attorney Denise Ilitch will be one of five Michigan women honored with the Michigan Women’s Foundation 2011 Women of Achievement & Courage award.
The first of two ceremonies will include a dinner, to be held March 29 in Detroit, MI, followed by a luncheon in Grand Rapids, MI on April 12.
The award gives recognition to women of diverse backgrounds who have been active role models by making positive differences in individuals, and who’ve helped inspire women to create change in their professions, homes, and within their communities. Specifically, Denise’s work as Vice Chair of the University of Michigan’s Board of Regents has played an integral part of her recognition, in addition to a host of other community contributions. Denise joins her mother, Marian Ilitch, who is also among this years’ award recipients. The mother and daughter honorees are making MWF history, by being awarded the same year.
The Women of Achievement and Courage Award was established in 1990 to honor and recognize women whose accomplishments inspire other women to achieve their life goals and undertake challenges that make positive differences for individuals, communities and the state.
