Clark Hill Attorney Christopher N. Skey Appointed to Chair Advisory Board of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services

CHICAGO, IL –Clark Hill attorney Christopher N. Skey has been appointed as Chair of the newly constituted Advisory Board of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS), which is the oldest civil pro bono organization in Chicago (http://cvls.org/).  Members of the Advisory Board serve as CVLS’s ambassadors to the legal community and provide strategic guidance to the CVLS Board of Directors and management to ensure the continuity and continued success in CVLS programs and operations.  Skey has a long association with CVLS as a volunteer attorney, and previously served for six years on the CVLS Board and as the CVLS President in 2013-2014.  More recently, he chaired the CVLS Board Development Committee, helping to establish a Board Diversity Policy and assisting with other board initiatives.

Skey is a member of the Environment, Energy & National Resources Practice Group in Clark Hill's Chicago office. For more than 15 years, he has handled complex energy matters on behalf of large commercial, industrial, and governmental energy users, competitive energy suppliers (electric and natural gas), energy cooperatives, public utilities, transmission companies, municipalities, trade groups, developers, lenders, building and facility owners, data centers, “green” energy suppliers, and other energy market participants. He regularly appears before regulatory agencies and trial and appellate courts on a wide variety of energy-related licensing, rulemaking, investigatory, litigation, and other proceedings. He also counsels energy market participants and energy project developers on compliance and strategic planning relating to the regulatory and legal developments affecting their interests and projects.
