Philadelphia, PA – Clark Hill Attorney Christopher M. Brubaker has been selected to speak on Cyber Risk at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Business Lawyer’s Institute in November 2014. This Institute is a two day event held at PBI’s CLE conference center in the Wanamaker Building in center city Philadelphia. It draws in-house counsel as well as those in private practice and government. The conference features several one-hour breakout sessions designed to update lawyers with practical tips, provide sample documents, and useful resources on everything from ADR to utilities, and corporate governance to technology.
Brubaker will present: Cyber Risk – An overview of this emerging risk will look at the types of risk exposure companies face including recent legal developments in the wake of the Sony, Target and Wyndham data breaches. The presentation will also look at what can be done to protect businesses from cyber risk, including the latest risk management techniques for addressing cyber risk and will analyze the emergence of cyber risk insurance products and what companies should look for when purchasing this product.
Brubaker concentrates his practice in complex commercial and general litigation. He has experience with a variety of subject areas including insurance and reinsurance coverage, class action securities fraud, contract matters, business dissolution, superfund litigation, trust and estate litigation and insurance defense. Brubaker has represented cedents and reinsurers in arbitrations and in appeals seeking to confirm and/or vacate arbitration awards. He has handled a variety of coverage matters on commercial CGL policies and represented insurance and reinsurance companies in matters involving the rehabilitation and/or liquidation of other insurance companies. He has also advised companies on regulatory matters involving insurance and environmental laws, rules and regulations.
