Joseph L. Voss is Senior Counsel in Clark Hill’s Corporate Practice Group. Joe provides general corporate representation to companies operating throughout the United States, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and contracting matters. Joe represents both borrowers and lenders in connection with the documentation and negotiation of secured lending deals, and has handled complex transactions involving syndicated credit facilities and specialized collateral issues throughout his career.

In addition to representing buyers, sellers and financing parties in transactions with the technical expertise required to complete a deal, Joe regularly provides clients with strategic advice to best position themselves to meet their goals before and after the deal has closed. This involves active involvement with the leadership of business clients to identify and address the legal issues facing their organizations.

As practice leader for Clark Hill’s Entertainment Industry Team, Joe represents financing parties for film and television productions. He provides production legal services to independent producers, as well general corporate representation to companies in the film, television, digital media and music industries. Joe represents producers utilizing the Michigan’s Film and Digital Media Incentive program, and provides guidance to parties that structure production financing transactions to maximize the effectiveness of tax incentives offered by various jurisdictions.

Joe provides legal services in connection with artist-cause collaborations, and assists clients seeking to utilize media to further their non-profit missions. This involves advising clients on the tax-exemption process, handling the entertainment law aspects of artist-cause collaborations, and providing guidance on the numerous legal issues that can arise when entertainers and non-profits work together.
