Kaveh Kashef is a member in the Litigation Practice Group in Clark Hill’s Birmingham office. He specializes in the fields of construction, riparian rights, real property, automotive, employment and commercial law. He has prepared and succeeded in numerous trials, arbitrations and appeals, including the landmark case of Little v Kin, 468 Mich 699 (2003). Before joining the firm, Kaveh was a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Webb, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (B.A. 1995), and graduated with honors from the Tulane University School of Law (J.D. 2001) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kaveh was the 2001 C.A.L.I. Award Winner for Excellence in Constitutional Criminal Procedure and published the article: Securities Law: Understanding Foreign Subject Matter Jurisdiction Under Section 10(B) of the Exchange Act of 1934. Kaveh is a speaker in the field of condominium development and has authored several contracting-related articles. He is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA). Kaveh is a member of the State Bar Civil Procedure and Courts Standing Committee, is a president-elect of the New Lawyers Section of the OCBA and is a Barrister of the American Inns of Court.
Kaveh was named a "Rising Star" in the 2008 and 2009 editions of "Michigan Super Lawyers & Rising Stars."
