Rebecca J. Dukes is an associate in Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. Rebecca focuses her practice in the areas of climate change and environmental law and litigation. A member of the iGreen Law team, Rebecca works with clients on their "green" issues, which include greenhouse gas reduction, tax incentives, sustainable development, carbon credit and offset trading, offset creation projects, alternative and renewable energy projects, financing considerations, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance issues. As part of Clark Hill's commitment to remaining on the cutting edge of this rapidly-changing field, and providing the most current information to clients, she is a frequent contributor to the iGreen Law blog. Rebecca also has experience in a broad range of areas including commercial law and litigation, appeals, real property and landlord-tenant disputes, account collection, creditors rights in bankruptcy, negotiable instruments and Uniform Commercial Code matters, administrative agency matters, contractual disputes, probate dispute litigation, warranty work, corporate and business law and litigation, entertainment law, and regulatory matters. A native of the Grand Rapids community, Rebecca earned her bachelor's degree from Alma College and her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law as a merit scholar. While in law school, she was involved in the Student Bar Association as the Faculty Liaison and earned certification in the highly-competitive Trial Practice Institute. Rebecca also received awards for oral advocacy and jurisprudence. Prior to joining Clark Hill, Rebecca was a research attorney for the Honorable Stanley J. Latreille in the Livingston County Circuit Court.
