Political Law Practice Leader Charlie Spies to present “Election Year 2016: Understanding the Complex Rules Regulating Political Participation” for the DC Bar on Tuesday, October 6

Charlie Spies, the leader of Clark Hill’s national Political Law practice, will be a presenter for “Election Year 2016: Understanding the Complex Rules Regulating Political Participation” for the DC Bar on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.

Spies, along with Marc Elias of Perkins Coie, counsel for Hillary Clinton for President campaign, will explain the differences among Super PACs, PACs, party committees, and candidate committees at all levels. Participants will also learn to spot many basic issues that may arise for clients planning to undertake political activity.

This CLE class is appropriate for lawyers who are politically active or who counsel clients that engage in political activity needs to be aware of the complex web of rules regulating political participation.
