Former US Department of Justice Attorney John A. Sheehan Joins Clark Hill PLC Washington DC

WASHINGTON, DC – John A. Sheehan, former senior trial attorney and special counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the US Department of Justice, has joined Clark Hill PLC Washington DC, the firm leadership announced today. John was most recently in private practice.

While at the Department of Justice, John was selected for a special detail to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of General Counsel where he advised on litigation by the tobacco industry against EPA and rulemaking challenges under several environmental statutes.

John is also the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including the Department of Justice Award for Exceptional Achievement, the Environmental Protection Agency Special Merit Award and the Department of Justice Special Achievement Award.

He is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court and the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
