Grand Rapids, Mich. – Clark Hill PLC West Michigan managing member Ingrid Jensen has been named the 2012 “West Michigan Women Lawyer of the Year” by the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Western Region. Jensen will be recognized at the annual meeting ceremony on April 26.

“This is an appropriate recognition of Ingrid, and we are proud of her and her professional accomplishments,” said David W. Centner, a member of Clark Hill. “Her contributions to the firm as a leader and an attorney have been significant, and we are pleased she has been selected for this special award.”

Jensen focuses her law practice in the areas of real estate, banking and creditors' rights law, and has extensive experience before various bankruptcy courts and the Michigan Tax Tribunal. She works with numerous municipalities to defend tax assessments. Her real estate practice focuses primarily on real property acquisition and sale, leasing, and property use and development. As a creditors' rights attorney, Jensen works with both lenders and borrowers in renegotiating loans, preparing workout and forbearance agreements, and enforcing real estate loans through foreclosures and forfeitures.

Jensen also serves as a member of Clark Hill PLC’s diversity initiative and was recently among 13 managing members of leading law firms in West Michigan to sign onto the Diversity Collaborative, a commitment to diversity in the legal profession.

Jensen earned her B.A. from Albion College and her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, both with honors.
