Clark Hill Supports the State Bar of Michigan’s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Through Pledge

DETROIT, MI – Clark Hill is pleased to announce its commitment to diversifying the legal profession by becoming a signatory to the State Bar of Michigan's Pledge to Achieve Diversity and Inclusion. Clark Hill’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee co-chairs, David M. Cessante and Linda M. Watson, helped to initiate SBM’s call-to-action decree by signing the Pledge on behalf of Clark Hill.


“This is a significant step for the SBM and we are proud to be a part of it,” said Dave Cessante. “We fully support this initiative, and hope that our involvement encourages other firms to consider participation as well.”


The firm hopes to reiterate the paramount principle that resonates within the justice system, by upholding an equal opportunity ideology within the company’s cultural framework. All firms and attorneys signing the Pledge agree "to continue working with others to achieve diversity and inclusion in the education, hiring, retention, and promotion of Michigan's attorneys and in the elevation of attorneys to leadership positions within our organizations, the judiciary, and the profession."
