Clark Hill PLC Sponsors Life Directions Tribute Event June 3

DETROIT, MI – Clark Hill PLC is a proud sponsor of the Annual Life Directions Tribute Event, hosted Wednesday, June 3 at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Downtown Detroit. Wayne County Executive Bob Ficano will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement award and Wayne County Circuit Judge Bob Ziolkowski will be honored with the Founders’ Award.


“Life Directions has been changing and literally saving the lives of ‘at risk’ youth and young adults since inception in 1973, and this event celebrates and acknowledges the hard work of the individuals who have made its mission possible,” said Tom Hathaway, National Board Chair for Life Directions, and Clark Hill Labor and Employment Attorney. “I’m extremely proud to be a part of this organization, and look forward to a successful event with support from our grateful community.”

Life Directions has several community based programs aimed at improving the lives of “at risk” youth, including the Neighborhood Enrichment Program, the Peer Motivation Program, and the Peer Mentor Program, among others. These programs are documented as reducing in-school truancy and drop-out rates. From 1990-2005, Life Directions expanded its services to Chicago, Tucson, and Marion County, OR.
