Clark Hill PLC Director of Government Affairs Peter D. Dugas to Present at 25th Annual Tax Conference, May 1

DETROIT, MICH. – Peter Dugas, director of government affairs in Clark Hill’s Washington, D.C., office, will present at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan’s 25th Annual Tax Conference, May 1, at The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Mich. The conference will take an in-depth look at the new Michigan Corporate Income Tax and the up-to-the-minute federal developments. Dugas will present a Washington Update focused on current legislative, regulatory and administrative developments, including a future budget outlooks, trends in the U.S. taxation and a tax reform prognosis.

Dugas has experience in all aspects of U.S. public policy and government relations. His primary expertise involves financial services, tax policy, international trade and economic development. In his previous role as the deputy assistant secretary in the Office of Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Dugas negotiated the Department’s budget request before U.S. congress and provided policy and administrative guidance on the implementation of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act’s Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).
