Clark Hill PLC Announces 2nd Annual Clark Hill Cares Service Day Project June 26 at Area Food Banks
“We are looking forward to hosting our second annual Service Day,” said Don Lee, Clark Hill PLC Chief Marketing Officer. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our firm to band together and give back to the communities in which we live and work. Each food bank – from Arizona to Washington DC – has been a great partner for us, and helped us to understand about this need within our communities.”
On Saturday, firm employees and friends will volunteer at Gleaner’s Community Food Bank (Detroit), the Mid-Michigan Food Bank (Lansing), Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank (Grand Rapids), Capitol Area Food Bank (Washington DC), Desert Mission Food Bank (Phoenix), and the Greater Chicago Food Depository (Chicago).
In January, Clark Hill Cares hosted “Cash and Cans” food drives across all seven offices, resulting in food and monetary contributions that led to more than 15,500 meals provided to families in need. Positive feedback from partner organizations and Clark Hill volunteers led to the firm-wide decision to continue the work with the food banks throughout 2010.

Clark Hill Cares
Clark Hill Cares is the pro-social community involvement effort of Clark Hill PLC, supported throughout the firm. Through service projects and donations, Clark Hill Cares aims to make a difference in the communities it serves. Since the firm’s inception dating back to 1890, Clark Hill, through its employees, has been an active participant in community efforts through organized volunteer programs, pro-bono legal services, and service to the nonprofit community. Our attorneys and other professionals also regularly participate in community associations and have active interests on nonprofit boards, foundations and other community organizations.
The firm formally organized these efforts in 2008, by announcing the Clark Hill Cares program.
The first official Clark Hill Cares Service Day, a firm wide volunteer effort, took place on Saturday, June 27, 2009, and included more than 200 volunteers in three states at food banks throughout the region. Our Clark Hill Cares efforts continue throughout the year, with regularly organized fundraising events, sponsorships and an official Service Day, in which all employees and their families are invited to participate.
