Clark Hill Attorneys Ray J. Koenig III and MacKenzie A. Hyde to Present on Guardianship Litigation and Family Fights

CHICAGO, IL – Clark Hill Attorneys Ray J. Koenig III and MacKenzie A. Hyde will present at the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education seminar titled, “Clients with Diminished Capacity: Practice Guidance for all Attorneys.” Koenig and Hyde will speak on “Guardianship Litigation & Family Fights.” The seminar will take place on June 29, 2012 at the UBS Tower & Conference Center in Chicago.

This seminar is designed to give attorneys from all practice areas detailed information on how to best assist clients with capacity concerns. Attendees will receive comprehensive information on what types of conditions affect capacity and discuss how much information courts require in order to show lack of capacity and how that may differ from what a mental health profession may say.

Koenig is the Managing Member of Clark Hill’s Chicago office and a member in Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices in the areas of probate litigation, trust litigation, fiduciary litigation, elder law, estate planning, and estate administration, with an emphasis on will, trust, guardianship, and advance directive contests and other fiduciary litigation. Koenig has represented individuals, families, financial institutions, medical institutions, and governmental organizations in all areas of his practice. Koenig has extensive trial, appellate and mediation experience in state and federal courts.

Hyde is an associate attorney in the Litigation Practice Group of Clark Hill’s Chicago office. She concentrates in contested guardianships and estates, as well as fiduciary litigation and estate administration. She represents individuals, medical institutions and financial institutions in all areas of her practice. She is frequently appointed by the Probate Court to serve as Guardian Ad Litem in guardianship cases.
