PHILADELPHIA, PA - Clark Hill Attorneys Christopher J. Day, Christopher M. Brubaker and Elizabeth A. Gocke will be presenters at The Legal Intelligencer’s In-House Counsel CLE on October 15, 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their presentation is titled “Data Privacy and Cyber Risk: Are you Compliant and Protected?” This course will give an overview of Federal and State data protection and notification requirements, emerging trends in regulatory enforcement, and a discussion of cyber risk and control/prevention methods. 

Day concentrates his practice in complex litigation. Day has a history of success representing companies, banks, trustees, health insurers, and individuals in complex commercial disputes, including contract disputes, shareholder oppression claims, international trade disputes, lender liability claims, reinsurance claims and policy disputes, and various bankruptcy adversarial proceedings. Day has been engaged as special litigation counsel by bankruptcy trustees to pursue fraudulent conveyance, tort and contract claims, and various avoidance actions on behalf of bankruptcy estates, and has managed litigation of national and regional product liability class action matters. 

Brubaker concentrates his practice in complex commercial and general litigation. He has experience with a variety of subject areas including insurance and reinsurance coverage, class action securities fraud, contract matters, business dissolution, superfund litigation, trust and estate litigation and insurance defense. Brubaker has represented cedents and reinsurers in arbitrations and in appeals seeking to confirm and/or vacate arbitration awards. He has handled a variety of coverage matters on commercial CGL policies and represented insurance and reinsurance companies in matters involving the rehabilitation and/or liquidation of other insurance companies. Brubaker has also advised companies on regulatory matters involving insurance and environmental laws, rules and regulations. 

Gocke counsels local, regional and national businesses on a broad range of corporate transactional issues, including commercial real estate sales, acquisition, development and leasing, mergers and acquisitions, financing and general business planning. She has experience drafting and negotiating financing documents and organizational documents for a variety of business entities. Gocke advises on various general corporate matters, including entity formation, tax issues, corporate governance, growth opportunities and financing.
