Clark Hill Attorney Steven Richman Participates in ABA Section of International Law’s Fall Meeting in Japan

PRINCETON, NJ – Steven M. Richman, a Member in Clark Hill’s International Trade and Litigation practice groups, recently participated in the ABA Section of International Law’s Fall Meeting.  The Meeting was held October 18-21, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

Richman spoke on the Globalization of Attorney-Client Privilege – The Asian Perspective.  He chaired the panel on The Art and Ethics of the Opinion Letter, and chaired and moderated Ethical Issues for Arbitrators and Party Representatives in International Arbitrations.  Richman also chaired and moderated the panel on Ethics and the ‘Rashomon’ Effect: The Lawyer’s Role in Witness Preparation.

Richman is resident in Clark Hill’s Princeton, New Jersey office and practices in the areas of domestic and international commercial law, including mediation, litigation and arbitration, and appellate work, including distributorships, intellectual property, agency, art and photography law, professional responsibility and contracts.  He is co-chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association's International Law Committee.   Within the American Bar Association, Richman is chair-elect of the ABA's Section of International Law, and served in the ABA House of Delegates.  Within the International Bar Association, he chairs the IBA's Alternative Business Structures Committee, serves on the Bar Issues Commission Policy Committee, and on the advisory council to the IBA's Section on Public and Professional Interest division.
