– Clark Hill Immigration Attorney Roberta Freedman was named as a top Immigration Attorney by Washingtonian Magazine in the December 2009 issue. Freedman is a member in the firm’s Washington, DC office, and is co-leader of the firm’s Immigration Practice Group. Freedman concentrates her practice in the area of immigration and nationality law. She has more than 25 years of experience in representing clients, including physicians, healthcare providers, business professionals, outstanding professors and researchers, and Fortune 500 corporations. She has been selected by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) to lead high-profile joint CIS-private sector projects. In addition to the Washingtonian Magazine honor, Freedman has been recognized by Law & Politics Magazine’s “Super Lawyers” 2009 publication, The Best Lawyers in America, Washington DC’s Best Lawyers, 2010 Edition Chambers USA List of Leading Business Attorneys, The International Who’s Who in Corporate Immigration Lawyers, and Washington DC “Super Lawyers” for Immigration (2010). Freedman is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is the past Chair of the Washington, D.C. Chapter and past Director of the Board of Governors and has been appointed to serve and chair on a number of AILA national committees. She is a former member of the Coordinating Committee on Immigration Law of the American Bar Association. Freedman just recently launched a nationwide seminar series for foreign physicians, entitled “Life After Training: Options for J-1 and H-1 B Physicians.” The series will travel throughout the country in 2010 including seminars in Chicago (February 2010), Grand Rapids (March 2010) and Washington DC (April 2010).
