Clark Hill Attorney Pamela P. Mick Invited to Chair the American Immigration Lawyers Association National Department of Labor Committee

May 16, 2013

CHICAGO, IL – Clark Hill attorney Pamela P. Mick has been invited by the American Immigration Lawyers Association to chair the national 2013-2014 Department of Labor Committee.

AILA is the premier bar association for attorneys practicing U.S. immigration law with a membership of approximately 13,000 attorneys. AILA has built strong and lasting liaison relationships with relevant government agencies at local and national levels. These relationships are critical to facilitating the flow of information between the agencies and attorneys representing individuals and employers involved in immigration processes. The Department of Labor is involved in many aspects of U.S. immigration including H-1B, H-2A and H-2B visas as well as PERM labor certification applications required for many employment based green card processes. The role of the Committee will further expand if Comprehensive Immigration rolls out as many of the provisions will require implementation by the DOL. Mick has been a member of the committee for the three preceding one year terms.

Mick concentrates her practice in the area of corporate business related immigration law. Her experience includes managing all U.S. immigration work for small, medium and large volume corporate clients including non-immigrant and immigrant visas, as well as employer sanctions.
