Nowlan will participate on a panel of immigration experts and advocates at the Detroit Board of Police Commissioners Community Forum on Immigration on March 30, 2017 in Detroit, MI. Attendees will learn about the Detroit Police Department’s policies for working with and interacting with immigrants and what to do if confronted by law enforcement and ICE. Attendees will also learn about the rights of undocumented immigrants, filing citizen complaints, and reporting hate crimes.
