Clark Hill Attorney Kristi Gauthier to Speak at the MBPA Health Care Conference – April 9

BIRMINGHAM, MICH. – Clark Hill Senior Attorney Kristi Gauthier will be presenting at the Michigan Business & Professional Association (MBPA)’s Health Care Conference on April 9. Gauthier will be presenting the session entitled “Employer Mandates: A Detailed Look,” which will include a detailed discussion on the employer shared responsibility provisions and potential penalties under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. She will also be participating in the expert roundtable portion of the program. Gauthier, a senior attorney in the firm’s Birmingham, Mich., office, concentrates her practice in Employee Benefits Law. She has represented clients in a wide variety of employee benefits issues involving health and welfare benefits, and retirement plans. Gauthier is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the State Bar of Michigan and the Employee Benefits Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association. In addition, Gauthier has lectured r on a broad range of employee benefits issues, including ERISA compliance, COBRA, Section 125 Plans, IRS Correction Programs, 403(b) plans, and consumer driven welfare benefits plan design. Gauthier is a frequent speaker on health care reform compliance anc counsels employers with respect to the impact of health care reform on their businesses.
