Clark Hill Attorney Joseph B. Urban to Moderate Bay Mills Community College "Leadership Matters" Conference on May 19, 2016

Birmingham, MI - Clark Hill Attorney Joe Urban will moderate a day of board and administrator training at the Bay Mills Community College Leadership Matters conference. The conference is a professional development event for which professional development credit will be awarded to participants. Among the items that he will present include "The Nuts and Bolts of Evaluations", a presentation designed to orient school staff to the newly revised teacher and administrator evaluation processes. He will also present "The Care and Feeding of Boards", which is a presentation on opening communications among board members and administrators. Participants will gain an understanding of the intricacies of teacher and administrator evaluations and also reinforce effective communications skills to use in reinforcing effective governance for the benefit of students and families.

Urban is a member in Clark Hill’s Birmingham office, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal finance, education law, and real estate law. He routinely represents school employers in the areas of collective bargaining, grievances and arbitration, unfair labor practices, wrongful discharge and the day-to-day matters arising in personnel administration.
