Clark Hill Attorney Joseph B. Urban to Presents "Organizational Meetings for Charter School Boards" Webinar

BIRMINGHAM, MI- Joseph B. Urban of Clark Hill’s Education Law Practice Group will join staff of the Michigan Department of Education Charter Schools Unit to present a webinar: Organizational Meetings for Charter School Boards. The initial meetings of charter school boards are very important. They are the board’s debut to the world, and set the tone for how business will be conducted. They can also send a powerful message to the authorizing body about the level of commitment and competence of the charter school team. Joe will join the MDE staff as they discuss critical factors to successfully mounting an organizational meeting. Joe and department staff will share tips and practical information about planning and documenting organizational and annual meetings, including the budget hearing required by law.
