Clark Hill Attorney Jacqueline H. Sellers to Present During Washtenaw County Bar Association’s Eighteenth Annual Bias Awareness Week

DETROIT, MI - Clark Hill attorney Jacqueline H. Sellers will present during Washtenaw County Bar Association’s Eighteenth Annual Bias Awareness Week. Jacqueline will present “From Visible Invisibility to Visibly Successful: Success Strategies from Law Firms and Women of Color in Law Firms” along side Dennis W. Archer, former mayor of Detroit, and Bonnie Mayfield of Dickinson Wright. The luncheon will take place Monday, October 19, 2009.

Jacqueline H. Sellers serves as "Of Counsel" in Clark Hill’s Detroit Office in the Litigation Practice Group. Jacqueline primarily focuses her practice in the areas of warranty, product liability, commercial litigation and premises liability, both at the state and federal levels.
Jacqueline has almost twenty years of substantial experience in serving as national alternative dispute resolution and national coordinating counsel in managing and defending warranty, fire and accident claims on behalf of automobile manufacturers, dealerships and finance companies. She also has significant experience in serving as national product liability discovery counsel for an automotive manufacturer. She routinely provides counseling and legal services on warranty, product liability and premises liability matters filed in Michigan.

Following law school, Jacqueline clerked for then Michigan Supreme Court Justice Dennis W. Archer.

Jacqueline is a mediator for the Wayne County Circuit Court Mediation Tribunal and is a certified general civil case mediator. She also serves as a panelist for Michigan’s Attorney Discipline Board. She is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Michigan and a member of the American Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section.

Jacqueline has been actively involved with the CYOC Foundation since its inception in 1998. She has served as a panelist for the National Bar Association, the CYOC In-House Counsel Career Conference, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and the Augustus Straker Bar Association, presenting on profitable attorney-client relationships, rainmaking, and diversity.

Jacqueline is an Executive Director and Secretary on the Board of Forgotten Harvest, the nation’s third largest food rescue organization and an active member of the Renaissance Chapter of the Links, Inc.
