Clark Hill Attorney J. Thomas MacFarlane Elected to the DAC Board of Directors

DETROIT, M I- The Detroit Athletic Club welcomes Clark Hill attorney J. Thomas MacFarlane to its prestigious Board of Directors. The newly elected group of candidates were announced January 25, during the long-established annual assemblage. Subsequent to the closing of the ballot, the DAC reported 939 casted ballots. Thomas was among one of three new directors elected to a three-year term.

The DAC has been recognized as a premier private athletic facility in Michigan, which offers hotel accommodations, a wide range of elegant dining options, full catering and conference services, various leisure and athletic groups to meet the interests of its members. They were recently awarded the Michigan Quality Council’s Quality Leadership Award , which was presented for the first time to a hospitality organization in the state of Michigan.

Thomas works extensively with individuals on estate planning, tax planning and probate matters and with businesses on succession planning and corporate restructuring. Thomas counsels clients on the various wealth preservation strategies which are available to high net worth individuals. He is also frequently asked to represent beneficiaries or fiduciaries in complex estate contests and trust disputes.
