Clark Hill Attorney Gregory W. Moore to Speak at Southwest Michigan Physician IT Summit “Preparing Your Practice for EMR Adoption”

BIRMINGHAM, MI - Clark Hill attorney Gregory W. Moore will speak at Southwest Michigan Physician IT Summit, “Preparing Your Practice for EMR Adoption,” Thursday, October 22, 2009. The summit will be at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, MI. Mr. Moore will present “Donating EHR Systems for Non-Employed Physicians” during the summit’s legal information track. He will address types of assistance which can and cannot be provided by hospitals, types of programs being offered by hospitals throughout the US and focus on EMR strategies to pursue while avoiding federal fraud and abuse concerns. Gregory W. Moore is co-chair Clark Hill's Healthcare Practice Group. He has focused his entire career on representing health care providers and routinely handles matters before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies. In addition, Gregory provides daily counsel to health care providers ranging in size from the sole physician office to some of the largest physician practice groups and hospital systems in the United States. He also has extensive experience with immigration law as it applies to the health care industry.

Gregory was named one of Indiana’s Super Lawyers in 2003 & 2004. In Michigan, the same honor was first bestowed upon him in 2007 after practicing here for three short years. He has remained a member of the Super Lawyers since then. Gregory was also named to Indiana’s List of Who’s Who Behind the Scenes in Health Care in 2004.

Gregory is an accomplished speaker. He has lectured on health care and employment law topics all across the United States. Gregory routinely appears as a guest on Talk of the Town, a Bloomfield Township cable access program focusing on law, politics and other issues of local concern. He routinely publishes articles through various trade publications in the health care industry and is currently a Chapter Author for Wage and Hour Laws: A State-by-State Survey and in the past was a contributing author for The Developing Labor Law. Both treatises are published by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment.
