DELBERT J. CHENAULT has over 15 years of legislative, political, and public affairs experience working at the highest levels of local, state, and national government.

For the past 5 years, Del has been engaged as a multi-client lobbyist working on issues as varied as appropriations, banking, pharmaceutical regulation, taxation and gaming.

Formerly, Del worked in several different capacities on Governor John Engler’s staff, including Deputy Director for Public Affairs, Executive Appointments Director, and Special Assistant to the Governor.  Other staff positions have included The Michigan State House and U.S. President.

Del has vast political experience including managing and building grassroots PACs and coalitions.  This includes creation and operation of a large state and federal PAC.

He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in political science and economics.

Del is an avid fly-fisherman, golfer and sports enthusiast.  He is a resident of East Lansing where he lives with his wife, Jennifer, and 2 children, Julia and Nicholas.
