Steven R. Pacynski

Associate

Steven R. Pacynski is an associate in Clark Hill’s Detroit office where he practices in the Corporate Practice Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, general business and commercial matters, and tax-exempt organizations. Steve regularly assists clients in connection with formation, merger, acquisition, and dissolution of foreign and domestic corporations and limited liability companies. He routinely provides counseling on company operations, compliance and management, and stock and asset deals. 

Steve frequently advises business and nonprofit clients in all forms and stages of contractual matters, from negotiation and drafting through execution and implementation. He is experienced in addressing issues relating to confidentiality, non-competition, non-solicitation, and other matters. In addition to general corporate work, he assists tax-exempt organizations by providing a variety of services, including the incorporation, tax-exempt qualification, and ongoing governance issues relating to nonprofit organizations, as well as advice regarding Internal Revenue Service, Attorney General, and other regulatory authority oversight and compliance. 

Steve graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and received several jurisprudence awards as top scholar for various courses. During his third year of law school, Steve served as Senior Managing Editor of the Michigan State Law Review

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Prior to attending law school, he worked several years as an instructional aide and researcher in the University of Michigan Department of Psychology.
