Scott E. Henderson
Scott E. Henderson has been in the firm's Commercial & Corporate Litigation practice group since 1981. He has been active in products liability, D&O defense, general commercial litigation, as well as defamation, privacy and First Amendment issues. He also served for many years as the managing partner for legal needs of one of North America’s largest steel tubing and bimetallic wire manufacturers.
Scott has participated in the group defense of more than thirty oil and steel companies in a toxic tort action involving the chemical benzene. His wide variety of experience in products liability defense involves fixed and suspended scaffolding, rolling towers, fire trucks, water tanks, hydraulic presses, lathes, automobile and truck braking systems, slitters, cranes, aerial lifting devices, medical devices, stadium bleachers, highway rollers, fire extinguishers, boats, roofing systems, industrial fans and boilers, pre-engineered buildings and asbestos.
On the appellate court level, Scott has litigated several cases in the Pennsylvania and federal courts which have defined and expanded the right of access of the public and media to public records and proceedings.
Scott is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
Lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other professional organizations on topics including evidence, product liability and procedural rules.
