Jeffrey S. Osgood
Jeffrey S. Osgood represents clients in the areas of complex business litigation, contract disputes, restrictive covenants and business torts, with an emphasis on matters involving hospital facilities and related parties, including professional entities and specifically involving litigation of peer review disputes. His work has involved representation of hospitals, physicians, and hospital and medical facility management companies in numerous state and federal court proceedings, non-binding mediation and binding arbitration proceedings.
Jeffrey has completed the basic and advanced arbitration training provided by the American Arbitration Association, as well as the forty-hour course for mediators. He has served as a sole arbitrator and member of a three-person panel in the arbitration of numerous claims for the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Osgood has written and spoken on various topics pertaining to surety law. He authored a chapter entitled "Deciding to Litigate: The Surety's Recourse Against the Principal and Indemnitors," published in the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section publication Managing and Litigating the Complex Surety Case. This topic was presented in La Jolla, California, in April-May 1998, and again in October 2000 (by the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section).
