Emily R. Norris


Emily focuses her practice on insurance and reinsurance, and brings a broad litigation background and strong analytic base to the Clark Hill team. She has successfully litigated insurance declaratory judgment actions and briefed an insurance coverage language dispute in the United Stated Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, she recently won an appeal verdict before the Illinois Appellate Court.

As part of her practice, Emily advises clients on Commercial General Liability, Healthcare Professional Liability, Professional Liability, Employer Liability, Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions, and Regulatory Liability insurance policies. She also reviews medical programs nationwide to assist in determining risks and exposures to the programs.

Emily received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law, Magna Cum Laude, where she was Articles Editor of the Elder Law Journal and assisted in teaching three courses. Emily is licensed to practice in Illinois and Minnesota. She has an active interest in Chicago architecture, and speaks Farsi.
