Delbert J. Chenault provides effective government affairs representation for clients before local, state, and federal governments.

For nearly 20 years, Del has been engaged as a multi-client lobbyist specializing in securing client wins in a broad range of issue areas including healthcare, appropriations, banking, pharmaceutical regulation, telecommunications, education, and energy.

Previous to joining Clark Hill, Del gained experience in the inner workings of government and politics serving on the senior staff of former Governor John Engler as Deputy Director for Public Affairs, Director of Executive Appointments, and Special Assistant to the Governor. He directed many political campaigns for state and federal candidates including 2000 Bush Michigan, state legislature, and the Michigan Supreme Court.

Del built and manages many state and federal PACs and grassroots coalitions in support of client objectives.

His vast knowledge of government and those who serve in it is at the heart of Del’s effectiveness and success for his clients.
