Beth L. Slaby

Elizabeth L. Slaby (“Beth”) has served as restructuring lawyer in a number of U.S. cases, representing a wide range of interests and parties.  Beth’s clients rely on her to interpret nuances in the Bankruptcy Code and to advise them of the most cost-effective ways to navigate insolvency proceedings.  She has represented over 25 lenders in work-out, insolvency and commercial foreclosure matters. Beth has also represented debtors, bank groups, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers and other parties in major debt restructurings and Chapter 11 cases.  Beth has intimate knowledge of the procedures in the Western District of Pennsylvania, as well as surrounding counties.

In addition, banking and non-banking institutions rely on Beth to serve as regulatory counsel on issues involving the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth-in-Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act , as well as the rules promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Beth also advises real estate clients in complex commercial foreclosure and title issues in Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Clark Hill in 2012, Beth worked at a boutique bankruptcy and creditor’s rights law firm and a large regional bank.   Beth is a member of both the Banking & Finance and Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice groups.  Beth also serves on the Board of the Turnaround Management Association and the Wilkinsburg Area School District.
