Barbara R. Adams
Barbara started practicing law in several fields (immigration law, criminal defense, etc.) for the first two years of her practice, but quickly realized that civil litigation was where she wanted to be. She has been involved in preparing and trying cases in asbestos personal injury litigation, as well as other toxic torts (mold, lead), wrongful termination, and automobile and product defect cases. In asbestos, she was involved in crafting the sets of “General Orders” that govern practices and procedures in two Bay Area counties.
Barbara’s work in the toxics defense field also led her to work in Proposition 65 defense. She has helped clients with issues concerning many covered chemicals in various products including suntan lotion, kitchen incidentals, auto repair tools, clothing, bags, foods, beverages and furniture.
Barbara is admitted to the California State Bar, has been an AV rated attorney with Martindale Hubble for twenty years, and has been voted a “Northern California Super Lawyer” for 11 of the past 12 years.
