Thomas E. MaierSenior Counsel Areas of Practice Bar Admissions Education Memberships Thomas E. Maier serves as Senior Counsel to Clark Hill's Administrative Law Practice Group. Mr. Maier joined the firm in 1998, after 17 years in private practice, where he gained experience in administrative and regulatory law, litigation, corporate, real property, commercial and general business law, and public-private partnerships. Mr. Maier practices in Clark Hill's Lansing office, and focuses on administrative law and regulatory practice, representing utilities and other entities before state agencies and courts. He has represented telecommunications and energy providers in various administrative and litigation matters, including contested cases before the Michigan Public Service Commission. He currently serves as counsel for MISS DIG System, Inc., a non-profit corporation which operates Michigan's one-call system for utility notification concerning excavation and related activities. A frequent lecturer on subjects such as privatization and construction lien law, Mr. Maier has been a speaker for the American Bar Association, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Townships Association and Michigan State Chamber Foundation. He has authored articles on privatization, construction law, lien law and real estate law. |
