Linda M. Watson is a member with the Litigation Practice Group in Clark Hill’s Birmingham office.  Her practice is devoted to representation of small to large privately-held business entities, as well as public corporations and entrepreneurs on various subject matters, including contract disputes and business torts, employment law, trade secret violations, non-competition lawsuits, shareholder disputes, technology disputes, healthcare and probate litigation.  Ms. Watson is of counsel to Kohn Associates, P.C., and serves as the firm’s litigator for intellectual property disputes.

Ms. Watson is a graduate of the National Trial Institute for Trial Advocacy, one of the leading institutions for intensive professional training in the art and skills of trial advocacy.  Ms. Watson was listed in 2006 as one of Michigan’s Super Lawyers for litigation.

In business litigation, Ms. Watson has tried numerous complex commercial cases to verdict and is experienced in arbitration, facilitation and mediation.  Ms. Watson serves as Corporate Counsel for an international technology company.  In that capacity, she manages various business matters and disputes.

Ms. Watson became involved in probate litigation several years ago and handles complex trust and estate matters involving among other things claims related to intestacy and determination of heirs, will and trust contests and construction, breach of fiduciary duties, mental incapacity, fraud, fee disputes, duress and undue influence.

Ms. Watson was a Managing Editor of Law Review while in law school, is a former Michigan Court of Appeals clerk to the Hon. Roman Gribbs, a former board member of the Automotive Women’s Alliance, founded a round table for in-house counsel, has written articles and is a frequent speaker for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education programs and for The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.  Ms. Watson serves as a member of The Oakland Circuit Court Committee, is on The State Bar Publications and Website Advisory Committee, and serves as a discovery master.
