William B. Dunn Speaks at Ethics SeminarDETROIT, MI – Clark Hill member William B. Dunn appeared as a panelist at the American Bar Association’s Center for Professional Responsibility where he spoke on the subject of the ethics of outsourcing legal work in June. Dunn addressed the current ethical rules and related issues pertaining to outsourcing legal work. Dunn addressed many concerns related to the growing trend of outsourcing legal work, including the ramifications of such practices, the possible erosion of professional standards and client protections and the current ethical issues related to subcontracting of legal work in order to achieve greater cost efficiencies. He is incoming chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and has served as a member of and special advisor to that Committee. Dunn is a member in Clark Hill’s Detroit office, where he focuses his practice on real property, secured transactions and related business. He is routinely involved in a broad spectrum of sophisticated real estate and commercial transactions. He works extensively in lending, workouts, leasing, acquisitions and sales as well as development activities. Dunn is a member and past chair of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in the Law and Chambers USA America’s List of Leading Business Lawyers. He frequently lectures at national, regional and statewide seminars and is an author on real estate and financing transactions, as well as on ethics. Dunn earned his B.A. from Muskingum College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan. |
