Michael P. Nowlan Addresses Davenport UniversityDetroit, MI – Clark Hill attorney Michael P. Nowlan addressed the “Diversity in Society” class at Davenport University on June 13. Nowlan’s speech focused on diversity of thought, as well as US immigration, and the implication of US Supreme Court decisions on improving diversity in the United States. Nowlan is the co-practice group leader of the firm’s Immigration Practice. He has nearly 10 years of experience in all aspects of immigration law, including business and family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, as well as the permanent resident and naturalization processes. He has been an advocate for immigrant rights before immigration officials on a regional and national level and within Immigration Court as a trial attorney. Nowlan is a an active member of the Michigan and National sections of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and has authored articles on consular processing for AILA. He is currently a member of the Michigan Bar Association, and the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He received his B.A. from Eastern Michigan University and his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy. He resides in Dearborn, MI. |
