A Lateral Associate with practice area expertise in products liability defense is needed for our growing Litigation Practice in our Phoenix office. The ideal candidate would have four to six years of experience taking depositions, managing discovery and making court appearances. Further, case management responsibility as first or second chair, depending upon complexity of case, with experience defending expert witnesses is required. A successful candidate will possess a solid work ethic, strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task. (Placements through external recruiters may not be considered for this search.)
An Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience is needed for the Litigation Practice in our Detroit office. All candidates must have strong litigation skills, including experience taking and defending depositions and drafting, responding to and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal court. Qualified candidates should also have sophisticated client contact and must be able to handle client files independently. While trial and appellate experience are not required, they are preferred. Successful candidates for the litigation practice area will possess a solid work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, an ability to multi-task and an interest in business development. A health care attorney with diverse experience in the regulatory and compliance practice areas is needed to serve as the Director of our Health Care Compliance Program.
Candidates must have at least seven years of experience with regulatory compliance, licensure and certification, government payment as well as third party payor matters and health care operational issues. The ideal candidate will have a background in HIPAA, Stark and Anti-Kickback, Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement, provider licensing and counseling of corporate management on risk assessment and operational issues. Qualified candidates should also have experience representing home health, hospice, behavioral health, durable medical equipment, nursing home and/or physician practice group clients. Experience working with for-profit health care clients is preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated business development and marketing experience.
