Construction Associate – Detroit, MI
A Lateral Associate with at least two years of experience is needed for the Construction Practice in our Detroit office. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction and commercial litigation matters, construction contracts and disputes, as well as a good understanding of construction law and the construction process. Candidates should have experience representing Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Property Owners, and Condominium Associations. Responsibilities for the role include legal research and writing, drafting pleadings, motion practice, appearing in State and Federal Court, and addressing claims in arbitration and before various state and federal boards or agencies. Successful candidates will be able to multi-task and should possess a solid work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. Government Affairs Associate – Washington, DC
Clark Hill PLC’s Washington, DC office is in need of a Government Affairs Associate for our Government & Public Affairs Practice Group. Candidates should have at least two years of experience on Capitol Hill and a Juris Doctor degree. Candidates interested in this role must have a desire to work on varied legislative and regulatory law and policy issues, as well as lobbying and ethics issues. Candidates with prior experience conducting legislative and policy research and drafting proposed bill language are preferred. As the individual hired for this role with interact with clients routinely, candidates with a demonstrated interest in business and client development are also preferred. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented and should possess strong interpersonal skills. (Placements through external recruiters will not be considered for this search.)
Mid-Level Corporate Associate – Phoenix, AZ
A Mid-Level Lateral Associate with at least 6 years of experience is needed for the Corporate Practice in our Phoenix office. All candidates must have experience handling a variety of transactional matters including: drafting and negotiating varied corporate documents; drafting corporate and UCC filings; assessing merger and acquisition activity for private and/or public companies; and evaluating and drafting stock and asset purchase agreements. All candidates should have experience with the full lifecycle of a transaction, handling negotiations from their initial discussions to closing. Candidates with real estate and real estate finance experience are preferred. Qualified candidates must have significant experience working with clients directly and must be able to handle and manage client files independently. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented and should possess a solid work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. (Placements through external recruiters will not be considered for this search.)
Litigation Associate – Birmingham, MI
A Lateral Associate with at least 3 years of experience is needed for the Litigation Practice in our Birmingham office. All candidates must have strong litigation skills, including experience taking and defending depositions and drafting, responding to, and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal court. Qualified candidates should also have sophisticated client contact experience and must be able to handle client files independently. While trial and appellate experience are not required, they are preferred. Successful candidates will possess a solid work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, an ability to multi-task, and a demonstrated interest in business development.
