Community Involvement

Clark Hill has a strong legacy of civic and professional leadership at the local, regional and national level.  Understanding that leadership not only makes a positive contribution to the community, but also helps our attorneys gain perspective, hone their skills and build connections that are valuable to our clients, we encourage and support all types of leadership endeavors.

Clark Hill attorneys serve on many of the most influential nonprofit boards in Southeastern Michigan, including the American Red Cross, YMCA, Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan, Detroit Historical Society, Hudson-Webber Foundation, and VAST-Michigan.

As a firm, Clark Hill regularly commits financial support to organizations making a difference in our communities, including the H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program, Detroit 300 and the Small Business Association of Michigan.

Many of our attorneys have been elected to positions of service within local, state and national bar associations, including three past presidents of the State Bar of Michigan and the current President-elect of the National Bar Association.  In addition, numerous attorneys are active in business, industry and civic associations such as the Michigan Manufacturers Association, the Original Equipment Supplier Association, the Construction Association of Michigan and the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation.
