On Monday, February 1, President Obama introduced his Fiscal Year 2011 (FY11) Budget, which recommends to Congress funding levels for all federal government departments, agencies and programs from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. One of the main responsibilities of Congress is to appropriate funds for the federal government's operation. Congress has begun reviewing the President's budget and will continue to hold hearings about the Administration's goals and justifications for its recommendations over the course of the next three months while Congress drafts its FY11 appropriations bills.
