House Bill Fully Funded by Unused TARP Funds

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced yesterday the details of the jobs bill President Obama has been pushing over the past two weeks.  However, two of the President's priorities were not included in the House version: energy-efficiency upgrades for homes and small business tax credits to hire new employees.

The House will likely vote on the bill before it attempts to leave on December 18th.  Senate consideration and passage is less certain with the ongoing appropriations and health care reform debates that need to occur prior to the Senate's adjournment for the Christmas holiday.
