Daniel J. Scully began his legal career in the greater Los Angeles area where the primary focus of his practice was defense of product liability litigation. Daniel began his legal career in Michigan in 1984. He joined Clark Hill PLC in 1996, as a partner in the Tort Litigation Group. Daniel's practice is focused on the defense of product liability litigation as well as complex civil litigation. Daniel presently represents several major manufacturers in courts nationally as well as throughout Michigan.

Daniel has tried cases to verdict in sixteen states and has published opinions in the Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Circuits.

Daniel was a member of the faculty at the 2001 IADC Trial Academy. He was the Assistant Director of the IADC Trial Academy in 2006 and its Director in 2007. He was a faculty member of the ABA TIPS Trial Academy on two occasions. He has been an invited lecturer at several professional conferences and law schools including but not limited to the University of Michigan Law School and Stanford Law School.

Daniel is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trail Lawyers and a Diplomate, American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a member of the ABOTA National Board of Directors. Daniel is licensed to practice in California, Michigan, New York and Illinois. He is admitted in several Federal districts and Courts of Appeal. Daniel is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel; the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel as well as several other professional societies and organizations.

Daniel is named in the publication The Best Lawyers in America, ‘The Best in U.S’ and is listed as a ‘Michigan Super Lawyer”. He is a native of Southern California and a graduate of California State at Long Beach and San Diego. During his undergraduate career, he competed in intercollegiate football, wrestling and judo.
