David J. Marr is a Member and the Practice Group Leader of Clark Hill’s Intellectual Property Group in the firm’s Chicago Office. Dave’s extensive experience focuses on intellectual property litigation and prosecution of patents and trademarks, as well as related issues such as copyright, licensing, unfair competition, and trade secrets. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago Kent College of Law, teaching a course entitled Strategies in Intellectual Property.
His expertise lies in the areas of high speed in-line web press printing methods and devices, agricultural equipment and systems, semi-trailers, binding and stitching machinery, LED lighting products, equestrian products and equipment, fragrance nebulizers and advertising devices, and fluid property sensors.
A member of the Chicago, Illinois State, and the American Bar Associations as well as the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, Dave is licensed to practice in Illinois, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court, Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
